Our Royal College offers an excellent location for film productions of various genres and periods. The present home of the College was built at No. 9 Queen Street to a design by Thomas Hamilton in 1846 - also the architect of the Burns Monument on Calton Hill. In recent years the building has been meticulously restored using authentic techniques and materials of the time.

As a working College and events venue we are geared towards flexibility, quick turnarounds and accommodating production requirements such as Phase3 power that are generally not available in other locations.

We work with Film Edinburgh who cover the City Of Edinburgh, East Lothian and the Scottish Borders. They can help co-ordinate what you’ll need if your shoot requires parking, road closures, police personnel, street furniture removal etc.
